Colorful upcycled glass plates collection by Fabien Cappello x Hem
French designer Fabien Cappello launched a limited collection of 15 glass plates for Hem. Based in Mexico, this collection is inspired by the concept of resourcefulness embedded in the street-style upcycling happening all around him. The punchy and joyful patterns of the plates are created out of layers of discarded glass offcut pieces found around his studio. Honoring otherwise wasted materials, the designer wants us to rethink and consider giving every material equal importance, resulting in materials that are useful instead of unwanted. The colors of the final collection are the outcome of available raw material, making the process unique and creative.
