Colorful Sculptural Installation made out of Waste

London-based designer Charlotte Kidger created a 19-piece sculptural collection entirely made out of plastic dust waste and hand-dyed resin.
Based on her graduation project for Central St Martin, Kidger designed this collection for Browns fashion store windows.
The circular forms and broken textured edges are inspired on greek ruins. The bright colors are influenced by nature, ranging from green to blue, orange and yellow.
It takes around four hours to cast each color in layers into the mold and after letting it set for two days the colors merged into each other like a painting.
The material she works with is self developed and sourced from CNC factories in the UK.
The goal is to transform industrial waste into functional objects and make factories aware of the value of waste materials to encourage them to take responsibility to reduce and recycle waste.
