Circular design and lifestyle company Supernovas presents – in collaboration with  Dutch design studio Odd Matter – Afterlife, a collection of recyclable furniture made out of 100% recyclable plastic. The collection includes colorful crates and benches that are multifunctional and easy to assemble. The pieces’ playful patterns and colors are fully determined by the available waste streams, sourced from PE and PET mainly found in discarded bottles, packaging, squeeze bottles, toys, and gas and water pipes. By combining three manufacturing techniques including rotomoulding, pressing, and 3D printing, the pieces are made out of one single material which ensures a glue-free assemblage. Starting from materials, waste is transformed into something beautiful and functional. Additionally, Supernovas is launching Streaming, a members program that allows customers to swap and return products reinforcing their commitment to the circular economy.
